FORGIVE EACH OTHER

Forgive each other, Lwanga tells MPs

So, on your behalf, I forgive all those who did the mess here, but I am asking them not to do it again.

KAMPALA - The Archbishop of Kampala, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga in his summon themed, “reconciliation with God and our neighbours,” has asked Catholic legislators to always forgive and be peaceful.

“We are here to cleanse this chapel which was abused. I do not want to go back to that, but as Christians, Let us forgive them. So, on your behalf, I forgive all those who did the mess here, but I am asking them not to do it again,"

"When you come to Parliament, you are supposed to reason. Not to fight, use bad language or beat up people up to convince them. Instead, let us out-reason them and draw them to our side,” the Archbishop said, lauding the Government for availing space for prayer.

In the well-attended mass in a small chapel located in the basement of the eastern wing of the Parliament building, included the Leader of Opposition Winnie Kiiza, Catholic legislators, both from NRM and Opposition and some ministers.

Asking everyone to shake hands with the neighbour, Lwanga asked the legislators to always promote peace with God, self, family, neighbour and the country.

“Let us promote peace with each other and in the country. Whether Opposition or in power, all of us have a duty to promote peace in the country,” Lwanga said
