I greet you in the Name of Our Dear Lord Jesus Christ. I wish to congratulate you all Parishioners of St. Charles Lwanga Parish upon your graduation to Parish Status. It is indeed great that we should celebrate today. Remember the challenges that you have come through all the way from Infancy, which prepared you to fit into this day as a Parish and Rejoice well knowing that the Lord has worked through you and given you a Renewed life which we are Celebrating today. Congratulations!

St. Charles Lwanga as the Patron Saint of this Parish became a Hero out of his steadfast following into Christ’s footsteps and leading his fellow Martyrs with great zeal and devotion. He together with his friends endured al the trials of the time, allowing no distraction away from the Heroic prize they earned through shedding their blood and faced with courage; for their faith and freedom of Conscience. We too are challenged to emulate him as a true reflection of our Christianity, by being strong and firm in our faith most especially in these times which are shaken by secularism.

The new Parish is reminder of God’s presence in our midst, and empowers us to know that faith shared is faith strengthened. I wish to appreciate Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Muduuma Parish for having shared this faith with you. We should thus not hasten to share it further and light our lives and those of people we shall always encounter. The new parish should be a signal for serious renewal of spiritual life in our society and a beginning of a new era of Piety, zeal, generosity and observance of faith that will bring us to a greater glory of God and to gain for him thousands of souls.

I wish to thank the Archbishop of Kampala for having noted your growth and granted you this Parish status. May you continue to water his efforts of evangelization and spreading the Gospel to more people.

To you the Priests and the agents of evangelization, you are reminded that you are custodians of the faith and morals of the Church. Be reminded that the people of this new Parish need a moral foundation and spiritual customs which are firmly rooted and to be handed down to future generations. This will only be possible if we set our lives in Christ the source of our lives. Always remember that we begin with the Holy Eucharist and always come back to the Holy Eucharist. Congratulations!!!

My soul proclaims the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my saviour for his goodness to us and for all the graces that he bestowed upon us as a congregation of Mary Reparatrix. It has been such a wonderful experience that each time we go back to these historical memories since the arrival of our Sisters in Uganda (The Pearl of Africa), I find a deeper meaning of what we are called to be.

CONGREGATION IN UGANDA (1913-2013) Congratulations upon 100 years of love in Uganda! All of us are called to love. Question is, have we been successful? When God created Eve, Adam was very happy to have someone like him, "At last, here is one of my kind”, Genesis 2:23. It would follow that they would love one another automatically. This was not the case and God had to give commandments to guide humanity on the course of love.

It is with great joy and thanks to God that we celebrate the missionary zeal that brought the first four Reparatrix sisters to African lands. They were responding to the spirit entrusted to us by our Mother Foundress, Blessed Mary of Jesus, as she explains in her letter of the 2nd of July: "Without fearing either dangers, sufferings, or fatigue, we will therefore go wherever the charity of Jesus Christ is pleased to call us, and, protected by Mary our Mother, devote ourselves with joy to the service of our Lord, crossing the seas to make known in the most distant countries the name of Jesus, his mercy and love..." (ST - Letter July 2, no. 13).
