Which Child Am I?
“Which child am I?” In the various vocations, duties and responsibilities that God has entrusted to us, we daily need to re-examine how dutiful we are in the vineyard of the Lord.

The worst part of the betrayal was that Jesus was betrayed by one of His own apostles. This hits hardest when Jesus Christ Himself says, “But see, the one who betrays me is with me, and his hand is on the table.” (Luke 22:21)
This is the time for us, for each one of us to look deeply into his or her life and give an answer to the questions of Jesus Christ most especially the second question, “And you, who do you say that I am?” (Luke 9:20).
Why should we pray for purity of intention? Someone may do something good (on the outside it is good) but when the intention, the heart with which it is done is not good. This is the experience of Herod in the Gospel today.

Mother Church invites us all to celebrate the Feast of St. Matthew – Apostle and Evangelist. This is the man who heard the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ saying, “Follow me.” He left everything and followed Him. “How powerful were the words, “Follow me?”
